Some updates...

What, I'm cooking
Paxton is at such a fun age right now. Everything he does has us constantly cracking up. From his fake cries to his jumping off of the couch, he's such a little goofball.

Here are some updates on what he's been up to and some of the silly things he's done lately:

  • He's interested in everything that is not a toy...daddy's tools, wires, daddy's wallet, sticks...
  • He absolutely LOVES his cousins. Jayla, my sister-in-law, made a picture book for Paxton for his birthday. Each time he sees a picture of his cousins in it, he points and giggles in excitement. When he sees them in person, they run and give a big hug to each other.
  • He loves drinking anything from a straw.
  • He has 8 teeth now and can brush them by himself (even though we still do a once over just in case he misses a few).
  • We were eating dinner at a restaurant and he held his hand up in the air to give the people walking by high-fives.
  • We ordered him a corn dog and fries...it came out on a plate with a small bowl of ketchup. He would dip a fry into the ketchup, lick it off, dip again, lick it off, again and again. He was quick at it too, it was literally one dip right after the next right after the next.
  • He loves everyone's shoes.
  • He used to not be too fond of going to the nursery at church, but now that he's moved up a level, I think it's more entertaining for him.
  • He has a love/hate relationship with a little girl his age at daycare, Zoe. They follow each other around and play...and then they fight over sippy cups and toys.

  • He is a dancer...his favorite music is mostly rap and country. Don't worry, we edit out the bad words.
  • He only says one word and it's 'Momma'...at first I thought it was pretty amazing, but then I quickly figured out that 'Momma' means everything. He says it when he wants a drink, when he wants you to pick him up, when he wants you to hand him a toy...
  • He's always on the go. You can't get him to sit down for more than 2 minutes.
  • He's not really interested in watching TV...which is a good thing, I suppose.
  • He'll put random things on his head and look to see if you're watching...a blanket, a bucket, a hat. He's so proud of himself!
  • His new favorite food is grapes. We just found this out this week. Since we've been giving them to him at night for a snack after dinner, I can only imagine what the poor babysitter has to deal with in his diaper the next day.
  • He uses random objects in place of a phone. If you say 'ring ring', he'll put whatever he is currently holding in his hand to his ear. If he doesn't have anything in his hand, he'll stick his pointer finger into his ear.
