Keep Austin Weird

*No idea what that means, but I hear it all the time

We went to visit some friends in Austin this past weekend.  We stayed with Nicci, Dave, and thier daughter Olivia.  Olivia is just four months older than Paxton.  It took them a little while to warm up to each other, but that's to be expected when little ones don't see each other for a few months.  We all had such a great time hanging out.  Their mall has a huge inflatable bouncehouse playland.  We weren't sure if the kids would like it much or be afraid to try it out, but they had an amazing time!  Even Alan and Dave got in to jump around...did you expect anything less?

There was also a carousel at the mall.  Pax has never been on one so we were definitely going to get him to go.  And oh my goodness, he LOVED the thing!  At the end, he held onto his horse for dear life.  Looks like we'll be making frequent trips to our mall carousel now.

We met up with my parents, Colby, Jayla, Carsyn and Carlie at Chuck E. Cheese's.  Paxton had only been there once for his cousin's birthday, but he was only a couple months old.  So, this time, he was able to enjoy it!  He absolutely loved riding all the kiddie rides.  His favorite was the cop motorcycle...he kept feeding it tokens to go over and over again.  We'll definitely be going back soon!

The Playground

Paxton loves playing at our neigborhood playground.  He has recently learned how to slide down the slide all by himself!

Haircut Number 2

I said just a bit off the top!

Paxton started looking like a little orphan, so we decided it was time for another haircut!  I wanted to find a fun place for him to get his hair did because I had a feeling he wouldn't sit still in a normal chair for very long.  So, we found this cute place where they have little cars and trucks for the kids to sit in while they get their hair cut...genius! 

When we first got there, Paxton had some time to get acquainted with the place by playing with some toys.  Then, the hairdresser took him to her station and he took a seat in a bright red firetruck!  She put the cape around his neck, which he wasn't too fond of at first, but quickly realized it was going to be ok.  He had his own personal TV with a Thomas the Tank Engine movie playing.  AND, the firetruck even had a bell that he could ring.  Needless to say, Paxton did great and sat still pretty much the whole time.  At the end, the lady opened up a box of lollipops and let him choose one.  Of course he had to pick two though, one for each hand.
